TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these carefully before making a booking. Please note that
additional conditions may apply individual properties and schools; these will be
indicated during the booking process before you make a payment.
1. PROVISION OF SERVICES
Studenz.com is an online/offline booking service for budget accommodation, English language lessons and other related services
proposed by various accommodation and lesson providers. Studenz.com is owned and
run by Piccadilly Group
Ltd.
2. PRICES & SERVICES
a. Accommodation: Unless otherwise indicated prices indicated on this site
are:
- Per room
- Do not include any meals
- Include all bedding (sheets, blankets etc) - towels are not normally provided
- 1 hour/week Practical English Lessons
b. English lessons: Teaching materials are included in prices. Where
there is a charge made for course materials this will be indicated on the
individual school page on this site.
c. Activities programme (summer): optional programmes organised by schools do
not include transport or entrance/participation costs (N.B. most activities
are without charge).
3. PRICE
All prices are in Pounds Sterling and equivalents in Euros or US$ are based
on exchange rates at time of booking.
4. PAYMENTS:
a.
Online Bookings:

Payment methods: Payment can be made by credit /debit card or PayPal

Deposit payment: a 10%-20% deposit for accommodation is required to make a confirmed
booking. Please note that the initial deposit required varies with each property
and is non-refundable under
any circumstances.

Further payments: Payment of any money owed is due on arrival. All relevant information on payments will
be indicated on the booking confirmation e-mail.
b. Offline Bookings (language lessons with/without accommodation):

Payment methods: Credit/debit card; PayPal; cheque, bank transfer. We accept
Pounds, Euros and US Dollars.
- Deposit amount: A minimum 20% deposit is required to make a confirmed booking.
If the booking involves a special package reduction then the full amount must be
paid at the time of booking. The initial payment must be made within the time
limit specified at the time of booking.
- Further payments: Payment of any money owed is due on arrival. All relevant information on payments will
be indicated on the booking confirmation e-mail.

No payment: If payment is not received within the time specified then
the booking is automatically cancelled and no money is due.
5. MODIFICATION OF DATES & OPTIONS
All changes to a booking prior to and after arrival should be made directly with
the accommodation or school. Contact e-mails and telephone numbers are provided
in the booking confirmation. The conditions that apply to the accommodation or
school booked will be indicated during the booking process before you make a
payment.
Properties and schools featuring on studenz.com are under no obligation to agree
to change bookings and may make additional charges for shortening bookings.
6. CANCELLATION
BEFORE ARRIVAL
i. Online bookings: The minimum deposit paid when reserving is non-refundable under any
circumstances; this sum is 12% for accommodation, 20% for lessons and any
booking fees indicated at time of booking. The conditions that apply to the
accommodation or school will be indicated during the booking process before you
make a payment.
ii. Offline bookings: If the full amount has been paid then the first week of
accommodation and/or lessons is non-refundable under any circumstance. If the
booking is for longer than 1 week then other sums paid before arrival will be refunded depending on when cancellation takes place:
- up to 30 days before arrival = 100%
- 14-30 days before arrival = 75%
- 5-13 days before arrival = 50%
- 2-5 days before arrival= 20%
- 1 day before arrival=0%.
iii. Any refunds will be made in the same way as the original payment(s) were made
and any bank or other payment charges incurred will be deducted from the amount
refunded. Piccadilly Group reserves the right to repay by an alternative method.
7. RESPONSIBILITY OF UNDERAGE PARTICIPANTS
- Accommodation: At
least one person in any booking must be aged over 17. Anyone aged under 17 can only
stay in accommodation if accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 21+).
- Lessons: Minimum age for participation is 17.
Neither Piccadilly Group nor accommodation providers or schools can accept any additional responsibility for participants aged under 18.
By agreeing to these conditions the User represents that he is of sufficient
legal age to use this site and to create binding legal obligations for any
liability he may incur as a result of the use of this site.
8. ENGLISH LESSONS
a. English lessons are provided in by the schools featuring on studenz.com.
c. All people booking a course must indicate their approximate level in
English during the booking process. Our schools reserve the right to change
someone's level after arrival if the assigned level based on information
provided is considered to be wrong.
d. In London the language school may require someone to change lesson programme
if there is no place for the person in a class of his/her level. This will be at no additional cost
to the student.
e. Lessons are not normally held on public holidays (Bank Holidays). Students who miss
lessons because of public holidays will be offered the replacement lessons at
other times during their course.
9. JOB SEARCH
The rôle of Piccadilly Group is limited to providing practical advice
to participants find a job via its website. Piccadilly Group
Ltd does not in any way guarantee that work will be found. Each participant is responsible for establishing whether he/she has the right to work in Great Britain (citizens of E.U. and U.E.E. countries have this right).
10. IMMIGRATION
Each participant is responsible for establishing whether he/she requires a visa or not to enter and/or work in Great Britain.
Piccadilly Group Ltd cannot make any changes to its cancellation/modification
conditions stated above in the event of a person who has made a booking being
refused a visa and/or entry into the United Kingdom.
11. COMPLAINTS/LITIGATION
Any complaint concerning the provision of services
should be made directly to the accommodation or course provider during the stay.
Piccadilly Group Ltd will not accept complaints made by third parties and/or after a
stay or course has finished. Any legal action brought against Piccadilly Group Ltd must be made under English law as judged by Courts of Law in London.
12. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Medical treatment in the UK is ‘free’ for citizens of European Union countries. It is nevertheless advisable to take out a travel insurance policy before travelling.
13. RESERVE CLAUSE
Piccadilly Group reserves the rights to (i) refuse any application and to terminate any booking in London; (ii) to
change an accommodation/classroom booking to another location in London of
similar or better quality/location; (iii) to ask participants to sign "House Rules" and pay a (refundable) key/damage deposit in London.
14. WAIVER
Piccadilly Group Ltd's failure to enforce at any time or for any period any one or more of the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall not be a waiver of them or the rights attaching to any of them.
15. HEADINGS
The headings used in this Agreement are for convenience only and shall not affect the meaning or scope of this Agreement or otherwise be given other legal effect.
16. MODIFICATION OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Piccadilly Group reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices under which this Web site is offered as well as the contents of this Web site. This right shall not affect the existing terms and conditions accepted by the User upon making a legitimate reservation or purchase using this Web site.
17. NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE
As a condition of the User’s use of this Web site, he warrants that he will not use this Web site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices.
18. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SITES
This Web site may contain hyperlinks to Web sites operated by parties other than Studenz.com. Such hyperlinks are provided for the User’s reference only.
Piccadilly Group does not control such Web sites and is not responsible for their contents or the Users use of them. Inclusion of hyperlinks to such Web sites by
Piccadilly Group does not imply any endorsement of the material on such Web sites or any association with their operators.
19. GENERAL
a. This agreement is governed by the laws of England & Wales and any legal
action brought against Piccadilly Group Ltd must be under English
law as judged by a London court of law.
b. The User agrees that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between the User and
Piccadilly Group Ltd as a result of this agreement or use of this Web site.
c. Performance of this agreement by Piccadilly Group Ltd is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of the right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to the Users use of this Web site or information provided to or gathered by
Piccadilly Group Ltd with respect to such use.
d. If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and agreement shall continue in effect.
e. Force Majeure: In the event of events deemed to be force majeur
Piccadilly Group Ltd cannot be held responsible for the consequences of its failure
to provide services as detailed in its web site and other promotional material.
